Why I Thank God Each Morning
Personal Notes
October 16, 2025
The morning prayer, simple and quiet, sets the tone for the day. To thank God for the new day is to admit that it was not earned. Life continues because He allows it, not because we deserve it.
Gratitude in the morning protects the conscience from vanity. It replaces anxiety with orientation. Before checking messages or tasks, to stand for a moment and give thanks aligns the will with truth: I am not the master of this day; I am its steward.
When thanksgiving becomes habit, despair loses ground. Even small difficulties are easier to bear when the soul begins from acknowledgement instead of complaint. Gratitude does not ignore pain — it keeps it within meaning.
